Happy Monday kids! Did y'all have a good weekend? We spent ours at home....well not quite at home, home, like in NY home, but we were so busy running around we were barely home. Does that sentence even make sense or did I basically just stuff a bunch of words in-between a billion homes??
Having inVESTed (See what I did there?!) so much time into travel, work, our new home, etc as of late I've been pretty tired. I mean, all for good reasons, but tired none the less. So I've been thinking a lot about the things I wish I had time to do, my vested interests if you will. I mean, for starters, maybe sleeping until noon?? Waking up to champagne and a tub of salted caramel peanut butter chocolate ice cream being served to me in bed by a butler would be something I could totally get behind (truly #champagneproblems). I also have a pretty vested interest in trying some new restaurants, particularly the fried chicken place that opened right downstairs from our building (I KNOOOOOOWWWWW! I mean, yes we have a roof top, but FRIED CHICKEN so close its basically being cooked in my kitchen?! Life, you're too good to me!). And of course, I have a forever vested interest in picking out new clothes, aka what Mr. RC refers to it as "giving the credit card a good workout" but what the rest of us like to call good ol' retail therapy.
Even though we only moved one neighborhood up from our old spot, we're now that much closer to all of the shopping. This is obviously a good thing because with all that fried chicken I plan to eat I'm clearly going to have to shop for new clothes pretty much every other day. I mean, not really, but whatever I have to say to get the Mr. off my back, right?! ;)
All this to say, I recently inVESTed (I just can't help myself!) in some new pieces like this vest, these super cute sandals that I plan to be living in, and the creme de la creme, these One Teaspoon shorts that I've had my eye on for basically what has felt like 10 and 1/2 centuries but that I refused to pay a king's ransom for (Ok, like $110 but still...) and then I finally scored for more than half off (They're still on sale if you want to get yourself a pair, too!) They're perfectly worn, perfectly comfortable and perfectly soft (just make sure to get a size up). On the downside, maybe that fried chicken diet isn't going to work out so well for me...
