Notes On // Statement Rings

I’ve had my eye on this AU-Rate Statement ring for a while now.

Like a good 6-8 months, if not a full year. And you know what they say. If you can’t get something out of your mind, it’s basically a sign that you need to buy it. Ok, maybe that’s not what people say, but it IS what I say when I need to justify a new purchase. Which is how I ended up here, with a bold new ring on my finger, writing a post about statement rings.

While I love a good arm stack and layered necklace sitch, lately I find myself being more and more drawn to a bold statement ring. It’s simple yet still packs a powerful punch, and it instantly elevates even the most basic of outfits in one single accessory. It’s also much easier only having to think about one or two pieces of jewelry as opposed to layering a bunch of necklaces and bracelets, and I don’t know about you, but the older I get, the more I tend to gravitate towards whatever has the most ease. And for me, these days, that’s statement rings.

If you’re only planning to buy one new accessory this season, the statement ring is your piece. It will give you the most bang for your buck while making the biggest impact on your entire wardrobe. Besides the AU-Rate ring, here are a few other statement rings that have recently caught my eye that I think might just catch yours, too.

MISSOMA // A favorite jewelry brand of mine, I especially love that, during this time of COVID, they have been giving back for every order placed. They also just so happen to have some incredible statement rings right now including this one, this one, this one and this one.

OMA THE LABEL // A Black-owned business with a great assortment of bold, beautiful rings including this one, this one and this one

MULXIPLY // A Portland, Maine-based brand with beautiful, well-priced pieces that are collaboratively made in partnership with fair wage artisans in Nepal; I especially love some of their statement rings including this one, this one, this one and this one.

MEJURI // A go-to for pretty pieces at fair prices; I just love this bold ring

ETSY // A great spot to find unique and affordable statement rings; a few that have stood out to me recently are this one, this one and this one.

GORJANA // A California-based accessories brand that is heavily involved in giving back and charity (which you know I love); really loving this ring of theirs as well as this one.

SOKO // This women-led ethical jewelry brand is a new-to-me discovery that works with artisans in Kenya to make gorgeous pieces. Their ring section is especially dreamy, with unique materials and shapes, and I truly want them all, but a few pieces that stood out in particular include this ring, this one, this ring, this one and this one.
