BROCHU WALKER MADSEN MAXI DRESS

Sometimes, when it’s been a doozy of a week, the only left thing to do is pick yourself up, throw on a fancy dress that makes you feel your best, grab a clutch and some jewels and take yourself on out for an adult beverage (or dessert…or both…I don’t judge!).

This week has been one such week for me, and, well, if you couldn’t guess by the post title, this dress, the Madsen Maxi Dress, is the dress I’m choosing to help me sashay my way right on out of this lousy week.

Believe it or not, I actually have the Madsen Maxi Dress in three colors because I love it so much. Then again, you’re probably not surprised because that seems to be standard practice for me and any Brochu Walker pieces that I have. What can I say, when I like something, I really like something.

I’m also 100% that girl that if I like something and it’s high quality, timeless and it fits me well, I’m gonna need it in every color it comes in. Please and thank you. See when you have a bit of a *ahem* figure (aka a larger chest area) it can be hard to find pieces that fit just right. And that also happen to be high quality and chic. So when you find a piece that checks all the boxes, it’s like finding gold and you hang onto it for dear life. And also consequently buy it in every possible color you can.

Long story long, Brochu Walker pieces check all of the boxes for me, and then some, which is how I usually find myself with the same piece in multiple shades in my closet. And the Madsen Maxi is no exception (side note- it’s only currently available in this black onyx shade). It’s not only flattering and comfortable, it’s also elegant and chic. You can dress it up with heels, a clutch and bold jewelry for a wedding or date night, or pair it with sandals or flip flops for a more casual, but still elevated, resort look. It’s also super lightweight, which means it’s great for packing. And I mean, hello! Can you not just perfectly picture this dress in Italy or the Greek Islands or Portugal or the Hamptons or wherever your travels take you?! Or, in my case this week, at a cocktail bar with a beverage in my hand.

Now excuse me while my dress and I are off to drown our doozies in something cold, tall and strong. And sweet, too, because dessert, duh!
