Happy Hour No. 179
A MID-WEEK PICK-ME-UP OF FAVORITE PHOTOS, LINKS AND THINGS
// NEW CURTAINS
2
Itโs been nothing short of a process and an ordeal to get curtains for our new place. Iโll share more later, but long story short, I wanted linen curtains, but I didnโt want to spend a lot as I believe curtains are an area of the home that you should save, not splurge, on. Ikea makes a few great linen curtain options. Come to find out, Ikea is also great at not shipping things, losing packages and having the worst on-line/phone customer service. We finally have our curtains, they look great and Iโve been reminding myself that the 3 month wait was worth the massive amount of money that we saved!
// BEACH WALK
4
Weโve been slowly easing back into our beach walks, for which Iโm so greatful. There is truly no better, more relaxing, more peaceful way to end a day.
// GRILLED SHRIMP

A quick shot, snapped in the evening glow, after a day of shooting recipes for a client; I couldnโt resist how summery and colorful this plate, in that light, looked! Heart eyes!
// TOMATO CONFIT
1
A forever summer favorite that is simple, flavorful, delicious and so versatile; Iโll have to do an official recipe post, but itโs essential just tomatoes slow roasted with olive oil, salt, garlic and fresh herbs. Then you can toss it with salads, on fish or meat, or, one of my personal favorites, burratta. This one in particular I served last weekend, during a social distancing happy hour in the backyard, with truffle goat cheese and grilled sourdough bread. Iโm drooling just thinking about it now!
// SUNNY SUNDAY
3
A few hours, this past Sunday, spent soaking up some rays in the backyard
// LAVENDER LANE
5
Over the weekend, one of our projects was to plant lavender along one side of our house. A handful of trips to 3 different stores and 2 re-plantings later and here we are. Itโs right below a few of our windows, so I canโt wait for it to grow in more and, fingers crossed, have the scent float in on the breeze and fill the house.
