Whenever people come to visit New York, they, of course, ask for a list of places they just have to go. Without fail, at the top of every list, is always Eataly. So it should go without saying that it was an obvious addition to our NYC summer guide (coming June 10th). I'll never forget when I first discovered Eataly upon moving to the city. I felt like I had opened a giant treasure chest of Italian goodies. Basically, this Italian mecca is the best thing since sliced bread, or in this case, sliced bread from Eataly's bakery (aka carb heaven). Not feeling the bread corner? Don't worry. There's the cheese counter, or fresh meat and fresh fish, there's pasta made on the daily, there is fresh produce (which you can have washed and prepared while you shop, or you know, drink wine!), desserts, coffee, mozzarella made fresh every day (that tastes like creamy little pillows of cheesy goodness), gelato, more olive oil than I could possibly consume in a lifetime, literally, you name it, and, if it's Italian, it's there. Of course, there's also the rooftop, Birreria. Up until recently this was my favorite spot in Eataly.....and then they opened the Nutella bar. Game. Over. I mean, did you see this spread?? Nutella in cookies, nutella in coffee, nutella on tap......is this real life??!

It should be noted, that the quality and care that goes into selecting and creating each product is paramount. And the staff? Well, they're a whole other story. So friendly, so knowledgeable, so talented....when it comes to the best of the best, Eataly doesn't mess around. Being in Eataly has me feeling so Italian that sometimes I think I don't even need to hop across the Atlantic. I'm only kidding, because of course I would never pass up a trip to my family's homeland, but I'll happily have the land of Eataly hold me over until then.

To explore this heavenly land of all things Italian, I thought about what I would wear if I was exploring Italy and I landed on my favorite easy breezy chambray dress paired with those same comfy Easy Spirit Shoes I mentioned yesterday, my new favorite BaubleBar bracelet, and this Rebecca Minkoff Bag that was big enough to hold just what I need (i.e. my lifeline) but small enough to not get in the way of touring Eataly (because no one, I mean NO ONE, gets in between me and my pasta/cheese/wine/gelato/every-type-of-Italian-food).
