WHAT'S AHEAD // MAY 2020
A PEEK AT WHAT'S COMING UP THIS MONTH AT RUNWAY CHEF HQ
Editorโs Note // And just like that, itโs already May. Lockdown or not, it feels like time just keeps on flying by! Anyone else feel that way? And anyone else really starting to settle into this new routine, which weirdly feels more and more normal by the day? Like I miss going out, I miss friends, I miss restaurants, I miss traveling, but as those things become distant memories that fade into the past, I canโt help but wonder if the longer this goes on, the more this becomes our normal, will it be almost a bit of a shock to the system to go back to the โold normalโ? Will we even remember or recognize the old normal? Will we even want the old normal? Like we think we miss certain things, but, without even realizing it, will we have gotten so used to the new normal that we wonโt want to go back to the old normal? Does any of this even make any sense to anyone else, or is it just me?
Anyways, enough of me and my rambling thoughts. Hereโs to another month of life, whatever it looks like these days, and hereโs to making the best of it, no matter what it throws at us.
Hereโs what Iโve got planned for around here this month-
BLOG //
WEAR Sustainable loungewear, beauty tools Iโve invested invested in and love + some new clean beauty
EAT Homemade pasta, summery bevs + updating some old favorites {like one bowl banana bread} + sharing more recipe videos over on the โgram
DWELL Outdoor inspo + home things you donโt need to spend a ton of $$$ on
CELEBRATE Old school movies to stream for a classic movie night
WELLNESS At-home spa day

Every month we use Pinterest to help us design our monthly mood boards. These boards then act as our guide when it comes to shaping the direction and look of the content for the upcoming month. Peek our MAY BOARD to see whatโs inspiring us this month.
LIFE //
This monthโs big life project is โoperation get the backyard togetherโ. The general plans have been outlined, we have new chairs coming, weโve selected stone, now we just have to actually put in the work {blah} and put it all together. Letโs be real, pulling up weeds isnโt making my โLittle Joysโ list anytime soon, but Iโm V highly motivated by the reality that our backyard is probably the only outdoor space weโll be seeing for the foreseeable future.
Outside of the yard, Iโm working to bring some structure back to our lives this month, with routines, plans and actual outfits {What is that? Weird!}. Some of our hobbie items have finally showed up, such as paint and clay, so weโre planning to start putting those to use and maybe ween ourselves away from ending every single night with tv. And, while I have felt far from creatively inspired, and I donโt want to push myself too hard, I am still hoping to ease myself back into some sort of creative endeavors, some photography projects, some photography practice, more videos, etc, this month.
