Holiday Outfit - Chocolate Brown Matching Satin Set Outfit
SILKY satin SETS FOR THE HOLIDAY OUTFIT WIN
If there’s one thing about me it’s that it really doesn’t matter if I’m dressing for the holidays or dressing for the day ahead of me, I like to keep my outfits as simple, succinct, elevated and, truthfully, as comfortable as possible. Which is why I’m all about a silky satin matching set. I mean, think about it. It’s essentially pajamas you can wear anytime, anywhere. And who doesn’t want that?!
Now I know what you’re probably thinking. Pajamas? In public??! But don’t worry, I promise you won’t look like you just rolled out of bed. While a silky set may feel like pajamas, the fabric and the matching set part keep the whole thing looking more elevated and chic and less like you’re ready to don a sleeping mask and call it a night.
The other great thing about a matching set is that you get three different outfits out of one set, which means the set is basically free because girl math.Duh! No, but really…outside of being able to wear the set together, you can pair the top with jeans, trousers or a skirt, and you can easily pair the pants with a jacket or blazer or a different top.
Keep reading for a few of my tips to make matching silky set looking like an acceptable form of pajama dressing and less like a hot mess express.

HOW TO STYLE A MATCHING SILKY SATIN SET (AND AVOID LOOKING LIKE YOU’RE LEAVING THE HOUSE IN PJS)
KEY WORD- MATCHING
No but really…is your set made up of a coordinating top and pants? Because, not to be dramatic or anything, but if it’s not matching, we don’t want it. Ideally, I find a set in a solid color to be best, but a print (same print for both top and bottom) will work, too.
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE ACCESSORIES
To keep your set feeling fancy, be sure to add fun accessories. A metallic heel, a cute little clutch, fun earrings, anything that will jazz up your look and keep it looking more like it’s time for going out instead of time to go to bed.
TIPS FOR FINDING THE BEST MATCHING SATIN SETS
For the best silky sets, it’s not neceasaily about price point. Rather, it’s about the material. It doesn’t need to be 100% silk, but anything fully synthetic is going to look cheap which will keep your whole look from being elevated and chic. So be sure to keep fabrics mind and check those tags before you snag yourself a set.
And when it comes to the top, look for a traditional button down style silhouette. This detail might seem small but it will make a big difference between your set looking like pajamas and looking like an outfit.
