Who wants to bet that this post is a #tbt to pictures I forgot to post this fall, and who wants to bet that we just shot these last weekend? Hint: go with the second answer. You won't be wrong. I know. Fall leaves in December?! I mean, is the weather having an identity crisis? Because I'm pretty sure my closet is. Do I wear flannels? Should I unpack my shorts? What about layering on a sweater? Are boots even necessary?  But I digress....

Being a New Englander at heart, winter, for me, is the time of year when hot cocoa and flannel rule inside, and hiking and playing in the snow rule outside. Skating? Yes! Skiing? Yes! Spelunking into ice caves? Well, maybe not yet...But with a lack of the typically cool weather comes a lack of winter sports (at least within driving distance). On the bright side, though, we've had an easier time going for hikes, because, well, when you don't have a foot of snow to walk through pretty much everything becomes easier.

Despite the weather veering off course, my skin definitely hasn't. As it does every winter, it's been getting extra dry and itchy. So just like I do every year, I layer up before any outdoor adventure. Of course, there's the obvious scarves, hats, jackets, etc, but underneath it all, I've got another layer on, an invisible layer, a 'secret weapon' layer, if you will. And no, it's not the invisible cloak from Harry Potter! Have you figured out what it is? If you guessed lotion, then you guessed correctly. Of course, with my sensitive skin I'm limited to what I can use, and finding a lotion that actually moisturizes makes the selection even narrower. One brand that I've used for years and has never let me down is Vaseline. Their Intensive Care Advanced Repair Lotion, which contains healing micro-droplets of Vaseline Jelly, deeply moisturizes to heal dry skin. In fact it's so healing that it's been clinically proven to do just that within 5 days. Talk about a magical layer, right?! So whether it's for hiking or skiing, outdoors or indoors, fall leaves or winter snow, a #tbt or just a plain ol' Thursday, Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Lotion has got your dry skin covered....literally. As in your dry skin will be a thing of the past, just like all the #tbt's gone by.

P.S. Speaking of throwbacks, Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Lotion paired up with a blast from the past to bring you a fun retro moment this winter. See if you can spot it in the pictures below and let me know in the comments if you guessed what I'm talking about!
