Spring Flower Arrangement
Everyone who knows me knows I love flowers.
In way, I feel like they’re a part of my DNA. If you’ve been around these parts of the inter-web for long enough then you’ve probably heard me talk about my history with plants and flowers- my Grandfather that had a huge backyard garden that I would play in when I was little, my Mom that a degree in biology and would never miss an opportunity to educate anyone around her on flowers and plants, my days entering (and winning) the flower arranging contests at our local 4-H fair. Suffice it to say, plants, gardening, flowers and flower arranging are just a part of who I am.
While I’m certainly no longer entering flower arranging contests, I do enjoy arranging fresh flowers for us to have around our house. They never fail to make a space feel brighter, calmer, happier and better. There is no exact method to my flower arranging madness. Heck, sometimes I don’t even remember the names of the flowers I buy (Sorry, Mom!). But that doesn’t stop me from making pretty arrangements, nor should it stop you. So, in an effort to inspire you to make your own arrangements and show just how easy it is to do it at home, I want to start sharing seasonal flower arrangements here on a quarterly basis. I mean, don’t go expecting any fancy tutorials. Think of it more as a guideline, with a list of flowers I’m using, suggestions for flowers in season, a little time lapse of me arranging the flowers, a few pictures. That’s it, nothing crazy. Truly, I just want to inspire you to fill your home with fresh blooms. I promise, it makes just about everything better
