If you follow me on Instagram than you probably already know that I escaped the last of NY's winter by heading west to the California sunshine. While it has certainly been sunny (and NOT New York), it's actually been surprisingly chilly, especially at night. Aka this girl didn't pack appropriately (imagine that). I'm not complaining, though. As far as I'm concerned, it's just an excuse to shop. Both this top and skirt I picked up while out here in LA, and while they're simple pieces, it's the little details, like the slit on the sleeves or the hem of the skirt, that elevate the pieces just enough to make them anything but basic. I already can't stop wearing either piece...so I hope you won't mind seeing them on repeat (#sorrynotsorry).
