MONTH AHEAD // SEPTEMBER 2021
A SMALL TASTE OF WHAT'S COMING UP THIS MONTH
Editor’s Note //
Hello and welcome to one of my favorite months aka September! I know last month I mentioned a few times about how I couldn’t get over where the summer was going and that it felt like it had barely begun whilst it was about to be over, but I have to say, I don’t hate the fact that it’s September. I just love this time of seasonal transitions, where the sun sets a little earlier but the days are still warm, where you can don a slip dress but pair it with a cozy sweater, where there’s a hint of change ahead but you still get to savor those final bits of summer. It’s truly a magical time of year and, while the world feels scarier and more uncertain by the day, I’m choosing to focus on and embrace the beautiful transitions that I know September most certainly always brings.
xx
IN MY WORLD //
what I’m pinning // my SEPTEMBER Inspo board is a little bit hanging onto the final days of summer meets beginning of fall vibes
what I’m watching // excited that the latest (but also sadly the last) season of Grace & Frankie is finally on because it always makes me laugh, but we’ve also been watching Happy Endings, a show from a few years ago, that’s nothing special but good for mindless, funny entertainment and if you just need something quick to watch
what I’m listening to // I’m loving this playlist and this one for setting the fall mood
what I’m following on Instagram // maybe it’s because I spend more and more time dreaming of living in the countryside, on a farm (aka basically away from people and this crazy world ha!), but I’ve been loving this account and this brand’s account (fair warning- this one, especially, will make you want to get a pair of cowboy boots and make your way to a farm/open field/wild west ASAP)
what I’m cooking // hanging onto summer produce just a little longer (I really want to make a plum sorbet!) before diving into all things pumpkin, squash and apple (thinking apple donuts need to be on the horizon since they’re so hard to find in LA?!)
what I’m drinking // obsessed with these new drinks-in-a-can that are super light, citrusy, refreshing and oh-so-delicious and the Pineapple Seltzer water from Trader Joe’s because it tastes like a vacation in a glass
what I’m shopping for // all the fall things- cozy sweaters, some new boots and you know I’m most definitely stocking up on the coziest, most fall scented candles I can find
ON THE SITE //
WEAR a dressy outfit featuring a new favorite skirt from Sezane
EAT finishing out the summer with a peach salad and something using my favorite Jimmy Nardello peppers
