Home for the Holidays
H&M Sweater || Levis
It's hard to imagine that Christmas is mere days away. And yet, here I am, still tweaking my decorations. I just can't quit. Something can always look better. Something always needs more berries or more greens. Some bows can always be tied better. Puuuuhhh-lease tell me I'm not the only one!
In the beginning of the holiday season, we decided it was also a good idea (Read: it was actually a terrible, horrible idea.) to work on some home redecorating projects as well as take on more work than ever before, amongst just the regular holiday craziness. I'm not really sure what we were thinking...maybe we just weren't thinking at all. Either way, the Christmas decorating suffered a little. I'm not one of those people who goes all out, but I definitely could have stood to have a few more decorations, a few different couch pillows, a few more berries. Such is life, though, right?
Most of our decorations this year came from one of three places- previous year's decorations, nature/Trader Joe's flower section or World Market (side note- one finally opened around the corner from us about two weeks ago....we've already gone so much that we now have a regular clerk who knows our name...I don't know if I should be embarrassed or proud...). Oh yeah, and we also had about a million and one little white bottle trees leftover from this shoot so those got sprinkled everywhere.
While I'll probably be adding/subtracting/fixing our decorations until the day I take them down, I am trying to also step back and take some time to relax and enjoy the decorations while I have them. This sweater is so comfortable and perfect for relaxing in that I pretty much haven't taken it off since I bought it (proof is on my Instagram stories). So, if you're looking for me, you can find me (probably still wearing this sweater) sipping on some hot cocoa and taking in my tree.
How are you guys savoring these last few days before the holiday weekend?
