Happy Hour No. 165
A mid-week pick-me-up of favorite photos, links and things
// A BRIGHT NOOK
2
Speaking of home things, our place is far from being decorated and done, but this little nook has been a bright spot, literally and figuratively, amidst the chaos, especially with the way the sun drapes the corner in magical rays of light.
// CITRUS SEASON

// SHADY WALKS

An afternoon walk back home, proudly toting my $2 lamp shade score from Urban Outfitters! I can’t find the shade on-line but have you checked out their lighting section recently?! So many good pieces!
// new floors

It’s been a long and painful process but we finally have new kitchen floors installed and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how they look! The before and after is insane and I can’t wait to share it soon! But in the mean time, we can finally move onto setting up the space and ya know, getting appropriate adult-sized appliances {instead of the mini fridge you may or may not have seen in my Instagram stories}.
// day trip

One of our favorite day trips from LA is to the little oceanside town of Ventura. It’s close enough for a day, but for enough to make you feel like you really escaped. Plus, there's some epic thrift store shopping, cute boutiques, great surfing and some great food options. On this most recent adventure we went to Prospect Coffee Roasters {They roast their own beans and have some pretty unique specialty lattes, like the one pictured, a marionberry mocha, which was delicious!}, discovered Butter & Fold {and obviously bought one of her delicious homemade pastries} via a pop-up she was having at another favorite Ventura store, Folke Home, found a few new favorite boutiques, including Tiki Girl and Kariella, and grabbed food at the infamous Pete’s Breakfast House.
