Maine Style Diary
I knew going to Maine in September meant one thing.
I could finally take advantage of all the fall weather and fall clothes I don’t get to in LA. Of course, true to how New England September’s usually go, it ended up being hot and humid at least half the time we were there, but you know I still tried my best to make fall (or at least fall fashion) happen. Go figure, it’s been decently cooler since we’ve been home, so I guess all my efforts to cram all the fall fashion into a week were for nothing. In fact, the Gap sweater and jeans (that I randomly picked up at their store in the Philly airport during our layover) not only got some unexpected, yet serious, wear time (especially given that they were unplanned, impulse buys) in Maine, but they have been on non-stop repeat since I’ve been home. The jeans were marked down to only $8 in stores (I’m kicking myself that I didn’t have room in my suitcase to buy multiple pairs!) and the sweater is super comfortable. In other words, if you take away only two things from this post, let it be this: you never know where you’re going to find your next favorite piece of clothing or how much or little it will cost, and apparently shopping is a great way to pass the time in the Philly airport. Bonus tip from today’s post: you should go ahead and just buy these jeans and that sweater ;) FYI, both run a little big so I’d suggest sizing down.
All of the other details of every outfit I wore in Maine can all be found below, and you can see other posts from our trip here and here.
