Guinness Beef Stew

When fall and winter roll around, I can't help but crave soups and stews all season long. With endless varieties, recipes and variations, it's a dish that never gets old. However, as much as I love trying new things, the classics are what I keep on stand-by.  Beef stew, in particular, has always been a favorite. It's hearty and comforting and so full of flavor...what's not to love?! I recently adapted my version to make it a bit more traditional, added in a splash of Guinness (Because Guinness is always a good idea!), and served it in bread bowls (Because, well, why not?!). The results were exactly what you would want to curl up with after a cold, blustery day. I'm sharing the recipe (as well as a little bit of the history behind it) over on the blog of the (fittingly) Irish company, Aran Sweaters Direct. Grab the recipe, get yourself a cozy sweater and you'll be all set for a warm winter's night in.
