Sweaters for Girls with Big Boobs

Sweaters for Girls with Big Boobs

For us gals with big boobs, sweater weather can be a bit of a pain.

Of course, you can rock any sweater you want. You do you, boo. But it’s no secret that sweaters add extra bulk. Put that bulk on top of a bigger chest, and, well, you do the math. It can be a big bulky mess. I mean, nothing says confidence booster like putting on a sweater and instantly looking as if you’ve gained 20 pounds. Not *insert eye roll.*

While I rounded up some sweater options in this post, I wanted to do a special post specifically featuring sweaters for girls with big boobs, as well as some style rules and things to avoid when it comes to sweaters. While I don’t follow these rules religiously (Rules are made to be broken, right?!), these are all tips I personally use and generally keep in mind when it comes to buying sweaters for myself.

BEST SWEATER OPTIONS FOR GIRLS WITH BIG BOOBS

LIGHTEN UP

Look for sweaters made from things like cashmere and cotton that will simply graze your body, instead of bulking you up

geT FIT

While it might seem contradictory to wear something tighter, a fitted sweater won’t add bulk the way other sweaters might, making it a win for us girls with larger chests

CARDIGANS

When it comes to cardigans, always opt for longer options to create a silhouette with length (pro tip: size up two sizes in crop cardigans to make it more of a regular fit). I also tend to stick to cardigans without pockets or collars, to avoid extra bulk and keep everything streamlined

DROP THE CROP TOP

I’m all for a good crop top sitch, but when it comes to sweaters, cropped options are a hard no for big boobs (at least in my book). Just like with cardigans, you want to look for sweaters that are a little longer to help keep everything streamlined, avoid things like pockets, and don’t be afraid to size up to help add length

V-NECK SWEATERS

Showing a little skin minimizes all the bulkiness a sweater can add and it helps to elongate the neckline which in turn creates a slimmer silhouette

ALL WRAPPED UP

Wrap sweaters have a similar effect as v-neck sweaters, in that they help to elongate, slim and flatter

UP TO YOUR NECK

While turtlenecks might seem contradictory to everything I just mentioned above, they actually have a similar effect to v-neck sweaters in that they help draw the eye upward and create a long line

OFF YOUR SHOULDERS

Keeping the theme going, showing a little skin via a sweater with an off-the-shoulder detail is always a good distraction and worth getting cold shoulders for, especially if it means minimizing attention you know where

DETAILS THAT DISTRACT

Draw attention away from your boobs with a variety of details- think prints, ribbons, accessories, back detailing, zippers, ribbed material, etc.
