NYFW Street Style Inspo

NYFW may have come and gone, but the street style inspiration still remains. Whether it is good, bad or just downright weird, I'm always a fan of observing what people wear to the shows. While some of it provides a bit of an entertainment factor, most of it is indicative of what's trendy and edgy. And let's be real, who can't use a good dose of real life outfit inspiration?! I mean, I love me some Pinterest style boards, but those can only take a girl so far before real life needs to step in. And did this season's NYFW street style step in indeed! With lots of wearable inspiration, it took me next to no time before I was incorporating a dose of NYFW street style into my own looks (i.e. this outfit that I'm rocking today). A few of my favorite trends that I spotted include:

Long Vests || In fact, the longer the better. I spotted long vests dressed up and down, worn with pants, shorts and skirts, and in a variety of fabrics, styles and colors. Because of the length, this trend is a flattering look that anyone can rock.

White || Yes, even after Labor Day! I noticed lots of LWDs (little white dresses), white trousers and all white ensembles, and for a girl who already has a hard enough time not wearing white after Labor Day, this was basically music to my ears, er should I say my closet?

Comfort || Who knew?! While NYFW is typically all about dressing up, I saw lots of dressed down inspiration, everything from denim shorts to graphic sweatshirts to t-shirt dresses to flats and (my favorite) booties (like the ones that I'm wearing in today's post).

70's Inspo || I've been a fan of flares and suede since high school so to say I was excited to see those things popping up on the streets of NYFW would be an understatement. And while I wasn't a huge fan of turtlenecks back in the day, I'm all about the sleeveless styles that everyone was rocking left and right. FYI, when the calendar is saying it's almost fall but the temperature is saying it's still summer, these sleeveless turtleneck tops make for the perfect light layering piece under, say, maybe a vest?! (Not that I would know anything about that ;) )

Did you check out any of the NYFW street style in person or browse through pictures on-line? If so, what were some of your favorite trends that you saw and plan to incorporate into your own wardrobe?
