LA Favorites

I'm certainly no expert on LA, but having gone out there twice earlier this year, I thought I would share a few of my fave places, eats, drinks, things to see and do, you know the deal. Just like NYC, LA has so much to offers so really, IMO, no guide or list of favorites is ever complete. It's forever growing, changing and expanding. This list is no different. I know with every trip out there, I'll only add to this list more. Speaking of which, do y'all have any LA favorites? Maybe we share a few similar ones, or you have some new-to-me suggestions. Either way, I'd love to hear them.

DWELL

in SANTA MONICA I love the OCEANA BEACH CLUB

VENICE has some really cute, relaxing AIRBNBs

in BEVERLY HILLS it's all about luxury which is why I love the SLS BEVERLY HILLS

EAT

in VENICE check out INTELLIGISTA for coffee, THE BUTCHER'S DAUGHTER for lighter breakfasts and lunches, EGGSLUT for breakfast sandwiches, GJUSTA for baked goods (You won't regret getting one of their orange pistachio cookies!), GJELINA for dinner (You must get the mushroom toast, no matter what you do!), SALT & STRAW for ice cream, BLUE STAR for delicious donuts and THE POKE SHACK for a quick poke bowl pick-me-up

in SANTA MONICA I have a serious love affair with MERCADO (Their queso will change your life!), TRUE FOOD KITCHEN is super fresh, fast, delicious, unique and their staff is incredibly friendly, FARM SHOP has insanely delicious breakfasts, I have a serious obsession with the Sea Salt Caramel Iced Coffee at DOGTOWN COFFEE, getting drinks at THE BUNGALOW is always fun (FYI, they have live music on Tuesdays.) and catch the sunset from SONOMA WINE GARDEN's pretty rooftop space

in BEVERLY HILLS check out THE EVELEIGH for a pretty outdoor space, amazing cocktails and lots of shareable bites, TOAST for brunch, ALFRED's for tea and YSABEL and MELROSE UMBRELLA CO. for cocktails

DO

Bike the beach path between Santa Monica and Venice

Do yoga on the beach (one of the most relaxing experiences I've ever had)

Go for a hike

Check out the farmer's markets (There are so many all over LA....The one in Santa Monica is my favorite!)

Cruise up to Malibu (The drive is beyond words beautiful!)

Check out LACMA (even just walking around the grounds is a really interesting experience)

Shop at the Grove and on Melrose Ave

Walk along Abbott Kinney in Venice

SEE MORE FROM LA....like what I wore in Beverly Hills, an outfit in Santa Monica, another Beverly Hills look + a salon to visit if you're in the area and a bright dress shot on a quintessential palm-tree lined street.
