Raise your hand if you can't believe Christmas is just a few days away (In case you're wondering, my hand is indeed raised). And then New Year's Eve is only shortly after. My head spirals out of control with thoughts of 2017's impending end. How is it already over so soon? I'm puzzled, and yet, I don't know why, as I've been alive more than long enough to know that this same thing happens every 365 days. Maybe one of those years I'll have been alive long enough to not be so surprised by it.

I suppose if the year does have to end soon, we might as well go out in style, right? Goodness knows there will still be enough festivities and celebrations between now and 2018, so don't hang your holiday party outfits up just yet. In fact, while you're at it, you should maybe even do a little shopping for one or two more holiday outfits. I know, I'm being a terrible influence telling you to do more shopping and spend more money, but it's basically the end of the year and soon you'll probably be on a whole "new year, new me" path, so you might as well live it up while you can.

This holiday party outfit is particularly fun for living it up. It's got sequins and lace, enough tulle to outfit a ballet troupe and a bodysuit sheer enough to cause a scandal, but I'm hoping that I've dressed it up enough that it won't. Wear enough black, add a long enough skirt, throw in some Chanel and the scandal will be squashed before it ever begin. Besides, who can blame anyone for refusing sequin polka dots??!

DO YOU LIKE TO ADD A LITTLE EXTRA SPARKLE TO YOUR HOLIDAY OUTFITS AND GET ALL DRESSED UP, OR DO YOU PREFER TO KEEP IT CASUAL?

MIRRORED SUNGLASSES

Because sequins don't have to be the only way to add a little extra sparkle to your outfit

SHEER BODYSUIT

I know the see-through thing isn't for everyone, but I think, when done the right way, it's a really fun touch to a holiday party outfit.

BLACK TULLE SKIRT

If there's ever a time to rock a fun black skirt, the holidays is it. Plus, there's no easier way to throw together a last minute holiday outfit than pairing a fancy black skirt with just about anything (Seriously, it would even look good with a plain white tee!).
